B.C. Flooding Relief Funds The lower mainland of B.C. is experiencing the worst floods it has seen in over 100 years due to extreme storms. This has caused many people to be displaced and homes, businesses, farmland and equipment either lost or needing expensive repairs.
BC Women’s Institute would like to thank everyone who is reaching out to help and we are recommending the following organizations that have set up Relief Funds for those affected: - Abbotsford Disaster Relief Fund abbotsfordcf.org This fund has been set up to provide support to front line agencies providing essential services to those affected by the flooding in the Fraser Valley.
- Princeton Flood Relief Fund - www.cfso.net Donations to this fund will be focused on the town of Princeton enabling them to provide emergency relief to those impacted in their area by the flooding
- B.C. Agricultural Council of B.C. www.bcac.ca Focusing on relief efforts and ongoing support to farm families and livestock affected by the disaster in B.C.
- Salvation Army B.C. Flood Response fundraise.salvationarmy.ca The Salvation Army is currently on the ground in six of the hardest hit communities offering emergency supplies.
- Go Fund Me gofundme.com Has set up a centralized HUB of verified fundraisers in B.C. for flood victims and this includes campaigns for businesses and displaced families.
From all of us at BC Women’s Institute Thank You for your thoughts and support for our province.
